  • The Message To America From St. John Paul II

    July 30th, 2015

“Woe to you if you do not succeed in defending life” – St. John Paul II

I hear these words today and shudder at what they bring.

    From CNS News – January 22, 2015

I remember vividly the August of 1993. I was part of a massive gathering of over half a million youth from all over North America in Denver, Colorado with Pope John Paul II. The saintly old Pope’s message was electrifying for us, but it held a rather startling prediction for America which many of us missed until we read it later: “Woe to you if you do not succeed in defending life” said the pontiff.

Also, from Fr. Dwight Longenecker: America the Murderous: A Solemn Prophetic Warning

EVANGELIUM VITAE can be found by clicking here

March of 1993 was the year that I had lost my child to abortion due to my own uneducated stupidity, after I had changed my mind and wanted to keep my child, as I didn’t know what was taking place. I will not try to justify it. It was my fault. (see here- as I have written about it back in 2011) I don’t believe in coincidences. I do believe our Lord has a plan and when we follow Him, it becomes very apparent to the repenting soul who has turned away from sins turns back towards Him and follows Him, dies to self, and lives for Him. I know I sound like a broken record when I say this, but it is true. For many years, far to many, my life had been a living hell because I had made it that way by following the world and not Him. Its not that I didn’t want to hear our Lord, or follow Him. I did! I forgot how to hear Him. When you follow the “world” you forget everything that matters most. I was so lost in sin. I was caked in my own filth of self. When I reflect back, I pray to our Lord to never let anyone go that way.

“To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible.” – St. Thomas Aquinas

I have always held St. John Paul II in a special place in my heart, in a very special place, as I had the pleasure of being blessed by him in Chicago during his visit in 1979. Please see – Reflection On Blessed Pope John Paul II Which, once again, as I am writing this, was originally posted on May 4th, 2011. May 4th 2013, after close to four years as living as brother & sister, with my husband, as we were going through the annulment process, we were finally married in the Catholic Church. Which, while planning, we had found out was the exact same day as my First Holy Communion in 1975, along with my Great Uncles Ordination into the Priesthood in 1930, who survived the Nazis, followed by the Communist occupation of Slovakia.

Our Lord has shown me great mercy. I can never fully place into words how He has strengthened me with His grace, teaching me it is not my strength, but His. Teaching me that nothing is mine and everything is His. Teaching me to see Him as much as I can, in all souls, although hidden. Even in the most hardened hearts, teaching me that I too, was that hardened heart. Seeing my own sins being committed by others, and repenting for committing exactly what they were doing. Seeing His face in every soul on earth, as easy as seeing the Artists signature on a masterpiece. Hidden behind the blacked over paint of sin.

I know I am getting carried away in the words here, but there is great mercy of our Lord in repenting. The country we live in, the one my dad, US Navy Veteran from 1946 defended, the one my husband served 23.5 years in the US Marines for and defended, has become a country of the culture of death. Its sickening to see what this country has become and is becoming. She is in desperate need of a “heart transplant” through replacing the broken moral compass she has been using for the past 45 years. I pray to God, she receives it soon.

The only way to fix her, is for each soul to look in the mirror, look deep within your own hearts and and turn your back on selfishness, turn away from the mentality that has brainwashed so many, and to the needs of others, placing yourself last. Starting with the smallest in the womb. Repent. The toss away culture we currently live in, has caused us to toss away our own hearts. Defend and protect all human life first. In one another, and your own. Take time to learn the meaning of Love. Its not anything you can remotely associate with what is taking place in today’s culture. What is Love? <<<SEE HERE>>>

For a few years, after my conversion back home really started to take shape, I would look at different pictures of parishes and the beauty within them. Before understanding, it was our Lord’s presence in the tabernacle that is the true Beauty I was seeking. One particular parish caught my attention and I thought it was so beautiful. The Chapel on the Rock (officially, Saint Catherine of Siena Chapel) in Allenspark, Colorado, considered St. Malo St. John Paul II had been in this particular parish and I could only image how beautiful that day must have been.

I had forgotten about it until a week ago when a friend had posted a photo of the parish that had captivated me, as it had been closed in 2011 due to a fire in the area, but the church was spared. During the rock slides of September 2013 the Chapel on the Rock survived, though much of the surrounding terrain was destroyed. How much that beautiful church endured speaks something wonderful to the soul.

My oldest daughter, just graduated from College, whom my sister took in at the age of 12, due to something I have yet to write about, is now living not far from that area. We have not seen each other for close to 2 years. I found it beautiful that the picture had been posted only a week ago, as I had forgotten about it, and all in our Lord’s time, His grace, His will, my family will be there soon for our family vacation. It will be the first time we take a family vacation like this. We will ALL be together. We are planning on spending time hiking this area of Saint Catherine of Siena Chapel and praying for the end of abortion and the destruction of human life in this country, along with the protection of the family and the conversion of hearts. God willing.

I am eternally grateful to our Lord for blessing me with the faith in Him that He has rekindled in me, along with my husband, my children and the gift of a life I could have never imagined not very long ago. My suffering may be painful and extremely excruciating at times, to see the lack of love in souls, but its so easy when its joined to His as the joy our Lord has allowed me to have in my heart, in knowing Him and not just of Him, is a degree of His mercy, that no one can imagine.

Pull closer to our Lord. Turn back to Him. “Return to your first Love”. Never forgetting, God first and foremost above all else.

St. John Paul II, intercede for all of us. Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us. Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on us all.

  • Bring This Soldier Home

    July 30th, 2015

    SaintM

A well-preserved silver box, thought to be a Roman Catholic reliquary, rested atop the coffin of a man believed to be Capt. Gabriel Archer. The box was an unexpected find at the site of the 1608 Anglican church, suggesting the colonist retained his Roman Catholic faith, perhaps in secret. (Photo Courtesy of Donald E. Hurlbert/Smithsonian Institution )

I am wondering if the Catholic Church can PLEASE get this Soldier of our Lord back home. First class relics are property of the Catholic Church and must be handled with care and love as they are the bodily remains of a human being. I beg our Bishops to please investigate this.

Via Msgr. Florian Kolfhaus – “I guess, M means martyr. The relics don’t have to be brought to Rome, but they should be venerated..”. via Msgr. Florian Kolfhaus during a twitter conversation I was having with him. Monsignor Florian Kolfhaus serves at the Secretariat of State’s Section for the Relation with States at the Holy See (Vatican).

    From NPR

“A well-preserved silver box, thought to be a Roman Catholic reliquary, rested atop the coffin of a man believed to be Capt. Gabriel Archer. The box was an unexpected find at the site of the 1608 Anglican church, suggesting the colonist retained his Roman Catholic faith, perhaps in secret.”

    Also:

“Kelso says the capsule is “a lead vessel that would hold holy water, oil or blood; and the bone would be that of a saint. Put together, this is a very holy object.” There’s a letter “M” scratched into the surface of the box that holds the capsule. Kelso smiles: “That stands for ‘mystery,’ ” he says. No one knows what the “M” stands for.”

    Also:

“But the object itself is clearly a reliquary — a container for holy relics in the Roman Catholic Church. And that is puzzling. The colonists were Anglicans — members of the Church of England. Many Anglicans at the time considered Roman Catholics their spiritual enemies.”

    Please bring this Saint home.

    1st Class Relic:

a part of the Saint (bone, hair, etc.) and the instruments of Christ’s passion

    Canon Law 1190
§1 It is absolutely wrong to sell sacred relics.
§2 Distinguished relics, and others which are held in great veneration by the people, may not validly be in any way alienated nor transferred on a permanent basis, without the permission of the Apostolic See.

ADDING from the article from NPR: “It’s a 10,” she says. “It’s unique; nothing else like it.” That’s because of what’s inside the silver box, she says: a tiny lead capsule and some bone fragments (seen only via a CT scanner, after researchers decided the box was too fragile to open).

Eternal rest grant unto Gabriel Archer, and the others unknown to us, O Lord and let your perpetual light shine upon them. May they and all the holy souls in purgatory, rest in peace. Amen

  • Ending The American Holocaust

    July 28th, 2015

    Obama-Planned-Parenthood-20131

I can’t help but ponder the day President Obama said: “God bless Planned Parenthood”.

Well Mr. President, and anyone else who can not see the grace of God at work here, and still can’t see the mercy of God, I offer you a few thoughts.

I believe He is doing just that with the revelations of what Abortion is in this country. That being the murder of a child by a BOOMING business of abortion. The Big Business of Abortion being given BILLIONS of tax payer money. The basic media blackout of any information on more news outlets that SHOULD be covering it and the twisting of facts and data to reflect back on the people who shot the videos to look like the bad guys, rather then the organization who has logged over 57 MILLION murders under its belt, who now are trying to justify the selling of aborted children organs. The pushing for “Fetal Stem Cell” research in Congress bringing to light the reason there has been so much push for federal funding for Planned Parenthood to me. The push for post birth abortions because as we know now, organ trafficking is big business. MILLIONS of woman regretting their abortions, being told that there baby was nothing but a blob of tissue in reality its a fully developed human child. The absolute all out destruction of the family, all being seen, and pushed for at the exact same time…..

The time is now to repent America. Can it be the grace of God that has revealed all this, all now regarding Abortion? About the callousness of our hearts in regards to the unborn and not caring enough for them? OR for ourselves to think we as human beings can be equated to dogs when created in the image of God? Acting like animals without ANY regard or responsibility for our actions?

About how a conversion of heart is needed for this entire nation that claims to be one UNDER God? I believe so. I believe its very blatant grace at work here. I believe its a time to repent for EVERYONE. How anyone can look at the dismembered smashed remains of a child and not see the evil behind it that caused its murder, is mind blowing. It reveals the total lack of compassion we have for one another.

Its not about “Health Care” or “Reproductive Rights”. This is about the time to end mans twisted justification of murdering children for greed and selfish ambition. The time is now to stop the blood bath of the American Holocaust that has taken the lives of over 57 MILLION children under the demonic name Abortion. The time is now to stop the EXPORTING of this murder business to every nation on earth.

God’s answer to your prayers? God’s grace? I believe so. With my ENTIRE converted heart.

Repent America. Now is the time.

For another look at the grace of God for us all, see: A Moment Of Grace For……Planned Parenthood

And this FANTASTIC truth: The Pity of Christ by FR. GEORGE W. RUTLER
    Just a snip:

“General Patton was thought by some not to have much pity. But he had a chest. When he entered Ohrdruf, the sub-camp of Buchenwald, his reaction to the corpses and crematoria surprised his soldiers. He did not say the lurid scene was “inappropriate” or “unacceptable” or “heartbreaking.” He bent over and vomited. And the medals on his chest rattled. When the people who lived outside the camps protested that they did not know what had been going on, General Eisenhower ordered them to walk through the fetid buildings and look at the corpses. Perhaps there will be a day when remnants of our sheepish generation are dragged through the moral carnage of our land and feel some of the pity that Christ feels for us.”

Keeping this entire nation and those who seek to destroy children in the womb, in my prayers.
Lord have mercy on us all.

  • Beauty Of Reality

    July 18th, 2015

    588095f2693d964beb308faf2064ab43

I had a very hard time falling asleep last night as I was pondering the state of the world and what is taking place. Although our hearts can be crushed at times, our love, hope and faith can not. I had posted something to Facebook last night:

We are facing Iran with nukes, US Marines being assassinated by terrorists, children being murdered and body parts harvested for profit, the media practicing Communist censoring tactics, forcing Catholic Nuns to supply birth control because the government no longer considers them to be a “religious group”, All out assault on the Catholic Church by the government, Gender neutrality, destruction of the natural family, homosexual “marriage”, flags being the cause of murdering people and terrorists are not, Kindergartners being taught sex education, Teens able to get an abortion without parental notification but are not Adults, Christians being labeled hate groups…. And the big story is an earthquake MAY wipe out the entire Pacific NW is supposed to worry me? Please. You can’t stop the earthquake. Everything else is the real problem that NEEDS attention and is all self inflected. ASAP. Lord have mercy on us all.

As I lay in bed, unable to sleep and found myself pondering all the things taking place, I began to pray to our Lord. Asking Him why? Asking Him how could so many souls be so lost in “worldliness” and not see true peace in Him? I pondered a post to twitter that i had made in regards to “crickets chirping” from anyone in the state government of California in regards to investigating planned parenthood.

I began to pray the rosary as I lay in bed. My focus was drawn on to the suffering of our Lord amidst the crowds of people who did not believe Him on the road to Calvary. It was horrific to see our Lord spat on and mocked. Ignored and very little compassion shown to Him. What I couldn’t help but see was He also went through the crowds of souls who didn’t care about Him. Didn’t want to hear Him. Had better things to do then repent and believe what He had said and done. I fell asleep and began to dream….

I had the most beautiful dream I have ever had. I was walking in the City of God. I was a princess being courted by our King. Everyone was full of joy. Everyone knew me and was so kind. Kindness radiated for every soul, no matter where I walked. But I didn’t know me. A man approached me and I knew Him to be our Lord without saying a word to me. He offered me everything and I asked Him, “Will you read me this book?”, I don’t know what the book was, and His smile answered. He was dressed for a huge celebration and wanted me to join Him. I kept telling him I needed to get ready. I needed to get dressed. He smiled and I heard in my heart, “Go look”. He knew I was complete, but I couldn’t comprehend what complete entailed. I walked into a small changing room that was full of mirrors. I had thought I was not dressed and ready for this celebration. I had been fumbling around in a purse for lipstick and when I looked up to apply it, nothing was needed. When I looked at myself, I was perfect. He had dressed me in what I had needed. He made me ready for where we needed to go. He provided everything without my even knowing it was already complete, it was done.

I woke up and my eyes fixed on the picture of our Lord in the Eucharist that I have on my dresser. The peace and joy that I had in this dream remained with me when I woke from it. And I still have it this evening. I had this immense ringing in my ears that sounded like crickets as I woke. What came to my heart the second I was aware of the ringing in my ears was Scripture John 8 21:30 with our Lord telling my heart, if they are not listening to Him, don’t listen to the misery they cause for themselves. Offering only Him in their pain. Hear nothing but the chirping crickets. Do not let it drag you into misery yourself. Peace. Faith, hope and love in Christ always.

Today I find myself pondering most of John 8 and knowing in my heart, it is already complete. Souls only need to answer Him, yes or no.

I had a dream I was a princess being courted by our King. When I woke up, it wasn’t a dream but the beauty of reality in living our faith in Him.

Glory, praise and honor to our Lord, Jesus Christ, now and forever. Amen

“Let us understand that God is a Physician and that suffering is a medicine for salvation, not a punishment for damnation.” ~ St. Augustine

  • The Refiners Fire Or Instant Gratification

Pondering choosing the mercy of God over the death of sin…

How many have seen this video of the people choosing the candy bar over the bar of silver?

After seeing this video floating around, commenting a few times, sin came to mind and how we choose the sin so many times over choosing what is right and just.

I woke this morning and after praying, couldn’t stop thinking about “He will sit refining and purifying silver“.

Lord, help me to choose what is right and just. What is holy and not what is sinful. Help me with Your mercy, through your most Holy sacraments of Your church, to pull closer to you and distance myself from the world and all the empty promises that fill me with garbage, still leaving me hungry for You O Lord.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel, pray for me, a sinner. I choose the Refiners way and not the way that leads to eternal destruction. Purify me O Lord. To You be the glory, honor and praise, O Lord.

  • “The Laity: Shock Troops of the Church Militant”

    July 13th, 2015

    33rd-sunday-in-ordinary-time-74-728

MUST read, and live the Catholic Faith

Just a small clip from EWTN:

In this dark hour, when so many have gleefully predicted the end of
the Church, let us recall that we have inherited the collected wisdom
of 2000 years! The world has always awaited and proclaimed the death
of the Church. But death could not hold Christ our Head in the tomb
nor shall it hold His divinized members. For certainly, if we apply
the words of that great soldier, St. Ignatius of Loyola, to ourselves
and “pray as if everything depended on God and act as if everything
depended on us,” the Divine Mercy will not be found wanting! So let
us gird up our loins and, united to Him, prepare to do battle as
shock troops of the Church Militant. The ultimate victory will be
ours, for our Lord told us: “Heaven and earth will pass away but my
    words will not pass away.”

    _ Timothy T. O’Donnell, S.T.D.

    23rd annual National Wanderer Forum
    September 22, 1990.

  • WARNING! NO SWIMMING!

    July 6th, 2015

    Ebola---Alligator--swamp-jpg

This weekend there was a very horrific accident that occurred in Texas. A man and his girlfriend were out late one night and decided to go for a swim in the boat harbor. Posted everywhere were signs saying WARNING! NO SWIMMING Alligators. DANGER!

Along with the signs, there were souls who warned the young man about the gators and begged him NOT to go into the water. The young man began taunting a gator, removed his outer clothing and plunged into the harbor, knowing the risks. As quick as he entered the alligator infested waters, he was being dragged down under by the huge gator he was taunting second before. He managed to scream for help, but it was already too late for horrified onlookers to help him. He was gone and nothing could bring him back.

As I sat horrified reading this immensely sad story this morning, I began to ponder how so closely related this story is, to souls doing this exact same thing all day with their souls. Ignoring the well placed warning signs from our Lord in His words and actions. Ignoring the faithful trying, with their entire hearts in love for them, to persuade them not do continue on into that way of life and to please turn back! Ignoring the Church and assuming the soul about to dive into the alligator infested water knows better than she does.

Ignoring it all and plunging into the depths of the murky water of waiting sharp teeth, as the souls who warned them, unable to do a thing to help them, because they just wouldn’t listen because they thought they knew better, sit in horror for the souls jumping in.. Following along the Culture of Death and assuming nothing else matters but what they want. The entire time, the evil one is luring them into the depths, telling them, come on in! We can be friends, only to tear them to pieces.

I will not sit here and call this man names, nor laugh at his lack of discernment. I will pray for his soul, and for the souls of those who had to witness such a tragic event because, someone refused to heed a warning, just as this takes place daily to souls, and unseen by many in this world, who senselessly dive head long, into the cesspool of the Culture of Death.

O Most Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy, at this most critical time, we entrust the United States of America to your loving care.

Most Holy Mother, we beg you to reclaim this land for the glory of your Son. Overwhelmed with the burden of the sins of our nation, we cry to you from the depths of our hearts and seek refuge in your motherly protection.

Look down with mercy upon us and touch the hearts of our people. Open our minds to the great worth of human life and to the responsibilities that accompany human freedom.

Free us from the falsehoods that lead to the evil of abortion and threaten the sanctity of family life. Grant our country the wisdom to proclaim that God’s law is the foundation on which this nation was founded, and that He alone is the True Source of our cherished rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

O Merciful Mother, give us the courage to reject the culture of death and the strength to build a new Culture of Life.

  • Go Back To Where You Left Him

    June 30th, 2015

thebodyofChrist image In a conversation today that I was having in regards to the Marriage issues, I was told by a support of SSM, to stop bringing God into the conversation….

When I profess my faith, how can I turn around then when someone says “Leave your faith out of ______________” and do just that.

If I TRULY believe, If I confess with my lips and LIVE the faith He has given to me, IF He truly is in EVERY ASPECT of my life, how then can if justify leaving Him out for the sake of “argument”, or for the sake it may be “offending”, or for any other sake, when the reality is, it’s an invitation to leave Him behind and follow something outside of the faith He has given to me? For me to leave God out of the discussion, the government, the school, the conversation or out anywhere, is to say He is not a part of every aspect of my life.

It’s not just what I believe, or what I profess, it’s who I am. To leave Him out, to say that God is not welcome here, or leave your faith out of it, is telling ME I am not welcome.

Don’t leave Him out of anything. Never let go of His hand. Don’t be bullied to let Him go and be forced in any way to be attached to something that refuses to allow Him in. To be one in Christ, means, to be one for all time. Not just sometimes.

Go back to where YOU left Him and bring Him back in.

  • Statement on the Supreme Court of the United States Ruling on Same Sex Marriage

    June 27th, 2015

    dioceseofsandiego

From the Diocese of San Diego

Bishop Robert W. McElroy’s Statement on the Supreme Court of the United States Ruling on Same Sex Marriage

Today the United States Supreme Court ruled that the historic definition of marriage as a relationship between one man and one woman is unconstitutional.

The Catholic Church, along with other faith traditions, teaches that the nature of marriage and the family cannot be redefined by society, as God is the author of marriage and its corresponding gift of co-creating human life. The legal recognition of marriage is not only about personal commitment but also about the social commitment that husband and wife make to the well-being of their children. It is for this reason that it is important for government to give a unique status to marriage between one man and one woman both in law and in public policy.

The Catholic community of San Diego and Imperial counties will continue to honor and embody the uniqueness of marriage between one man and one woman as a gift from God- -in our teaching, our sacramental life and our witness to the world. We will do so in a manner which profoundly respects at every moment the loving and familial relationships which enrich the lives of so many gay men and women who are our sons and daughters, our sisters and brothers, and ultimately our fellow pilgrims on this earthly journey of life. And commanded by the Gospel of Jesus Christ we will continue to reach out to families of every kind who are encountering poverty, addictions, violence, emotional stress or the threat of deportation, and to attempt to bring them faith and care, service and solidarity.

  • Independence Day From Sinfulness

    June 26th, 2015

    11695340_10207457036292125_947304448569329523_n

Saturday July 4th, I will be dedicating to our Holy Mother Mary and first Saturday. I ask you to join me as we celebrate her, our Catholic Faith and TRUE Independence from our sinfulness. I have my flag out already. I will be bringing my children to Holy Mass after we all receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Just an idea I feel needs to be shared.

“In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph.” – Our Lady of Fatima

    FREEDOM!

All praise, honor and glory to our Lord, Jesus Christ.

    EDIT to add:

Its not a call to abandon hope, nor to hide inside this day, but to celebrate LIFE in Christ. To still enjoy our Lords creation. TO STILL live the life our Lord has given to us and to appreciate Holiness in the Light. Its not that we are NOT still sinners, but rather we know we are and we are TRYING with the grace of God to get back home to our Lord, in TRUE Love. Agape!

    11695846_10207456922289275_6412187377273130109_n

    “Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;
    Praise Him, all creatures here below;
    Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!
    Amen!”

    EDIT:

The original photo has been changed at the top of this post. WITHOUT KNOWING, I was flying my Vatican Flag upside down for many many WEEKS. I didn’t know it. Today, I fixed it. Keep in mind ANY flag flown upside down is a sign of “distress” and NOT disrespect. Pray for this nation and the ENTIRE Church.

  • I Will Not Worship The Golden Calf

    June 26th, 2015

    sv-semeistvo

    REPENT…

All over the MSM you see “Love Wins” in regards to the same sex marriage law being man made legal in 50 US states. Yes. Love most certainly does win but most do not know who He is yet. I pray that many will receive the grace from our Lord for understanding of who He is.

Again SCOTUS chants “We have no king but Caesar”. Just as it was chanted through the pen for Abortion and now for Marriage. Jesus Christ is MY King, not the USA. It was Saint Augustine of Hippo who stated that “An unjust law is no law at all”. Just as an unjust law is no law at all, so to are the men and woman who enforce the unjust law. So to are those who follow the unjust law. I will not. I OPENLY refuse to worship the “Golden Calf” of the nation. Jesus Christ is my King. “But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15

    From the USCCB

“Regardless of what a narrow majority of the Supreme Court may declare at this moment in history, the nature of the human person and marriage remains unchanged and unchangeable. Just as Roe v. Wade did not settle the question of abortion over forty years ago, Obergefell v. Hodges does not settle the question of marriage today. Neither decision is rooted in the truth, and as a result, both will eventually fail. Today the Court is wrong again. It is profoundly immoral and unjust for the government to declare that two people of the same sex can constitute a marriage.”

Please continue to read at the link.

Repent. Pray Divine Office 3X daily. Pray the Rosary daily. Pray before every meal. Attend daily Holy Mass (if you can) and if you can not, participate in it through EWTN rebroadcast. Pray without ceasing. Receive the sacraments frequently. “LOVE one another as I have loved you” – Be not afraid. DO not give into disrepair. Give in only to our Lord Jesus Christ. Teach your children to do the same! LIVE the faith. Don’t just talk about it.

The Sacrament of Marriage will never change.

  • “Laudato Si” & “Vision Of Heaven”

    June 18th, 2015

    download (27)

    Can’t help but ponder…

Pondering “Laudato Si” and Pope Francis on Twitter in the past few hours:

“I invite all to pause to think about the challenges we face regarding care for our common home. ‪#‎LaudatoSi‬. We need a new dialogue about how we are shaping the future of our planet. #LaudatoSi. There is an intimate relationship between the poor and the fragility of the planet. #LaudatoSi. There is a need to seek other ways of understanding the economy and progress. #LaudatoSi. There is a value proper to each creature. The throwaway culture of today calls for a new lifestyle. #LaudatoSi. “To commit a crime against the natural world is a sin against ourselves and a sin against God.” (Patriarch Bartholomew). The climate is a common good, belonging to all and meant for all. Climate change represents one of the principal challenges facing humanity in our day. #LaudatoSi. The earth, our home, is beginning to look more and more like an immense pile of filth. These problems are closely linked to a throwaway culture. One particularly serious problem is the quality of water available to the poor. #LaudatoSi. The human environment and the natural environment deteriorate together. The deterioration of the environment and of society affect the most vulnerable people on the planet. We have to hear both the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor. #LaudatoSi. To blame population growth, and not an extreme consumerism on the part of some, is one way of refusing to face the issues. A true “ecological debt” exists, particularly between the global north and south. Developed countries ought to help pay this debt by limiting their consumption of nonrenewable energy. There is no room for the globalization of indifference. #LaudatoSi. Economic interests easily end up trumping the common good. The alliance between economy and technology ends up sidelining anything unrelated to its immediate interests. Whatever is fragile, like the environment, is defenceless before the interests of a deified market. We need only to take a frank look at the facts to see that our common home is falling into serious disrepair. #LaudatoSi. The present world system is certainly unsustainable from a number of points of view. #LaudatoSi. Each community has the duty to protect the earth and to ensure its fruitfulness for coming generations. “Creation” has a broader meaning than “nature”; it has to do with God’s loving plan. #LaudatoSi. Every creature is the object of the Father’s tenderness, who gives it its place in the world. A fragile world challenges us to devise intelligent ways of directing, developing and limiting our power. At times more zeal is shown in protecting other species than in defending the equal dignity of human beings. We should be particularly indignant at the enormous inequalities in our midst. #LaudatoSi. We continue to tolerate some considering themselves more worthy than others. Earth is essentially a shared inheritance, whose fruits are meant to benefit everyone. #LaudatoSi. For believers, this becomes a question of fidelity to the Creator. Never has humanity had such power over itself, yet nothing ensures that it will be used wisely. Each age tends to have only a meagre awareness of its own limitations. It is possible that we don’t grasp the gravity of the challenges before us. #LaudatoSi. We are learning all too slowly the lessons of environmental deterioration. #LaudatoSi. By itself the market cannot guarantee integral human development and social inclusion. Scientific and technological progress cannot be equated with the progress of humanity and history. There is an urgent need for us to move forward in a bold cultural revolution. #LaudatoSi. Christian thought sees human beings as possessing a particular dignity above other creatures. The culture of relativism drives one person to take advantage of another, to treat others as mere objects. It is contrary to human dignity to cause animals to suffer or die needlessly. #LaudatoSi. We need an integrated approach to combating poverty and protecting nature. For indigenous communities, land is not a commodity, but a gift from God, a sacred space. Having a home has much to do with a sense of personal dignity and the growth of families. #LaudatoSi. The world we have received also belongs to who will follow us. #LaudatoSi. What kind of world do we want to leave to those who come after us, to children who are now growing up? What is at stake is our own dignity. Leaving an inhabitable planet to future generations is, first and foremost, up to us.”

Peg Pondering Again's avatarPeg Pondering Again

Most who will read this will either not understand or call me crazy. I forgive you. Some with a greater gift then I, I hope will read more into it then I can. This vision is so etched on my soul in great detail, it is the only thing on my mind. It has consumed me. After seeing this vision last night, and still being in this world, it has managed to separate two worlds completely. The world in which we live and the world in which we hope to live. I can only see this world we are in as dying and know I am still apart of it but the Kingdom of Heaven is my home and where I belong. There is zero doubt, this vision was a gift of our Holy Mother as it came to me while praying the Glorious Mysteries of the Holy Rosary last…

“And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

On this beautiful feast of Corpus Christi, we were blessed with my youngest daughter making her First Holy Communion yesterday at Holy Mass. It was bitter sweet for me, as I quickly learned that I would never be preparing any more of my children for this beautiful Sacrament. I thought of years past, when Grandparents, Aunts & Uncles, Cousins and EVERYONE would pile into the Church to witness this beautiful Sacrament. There was always a huge family gathering that followed with great food and cards & a big cake. There were only five of us in our family to celebrate this beautiful day for her. My husband, her older sister and my sister & brother-in-law.her Aunt & Uncle, my sister & brother in law, along with myself.

Taking into account most of my family is out of state and my parents have been gone for close to 15 years, I found myself at odds with how things were and how they are today. I was wrestling with the Parable of the Wedding Feast. So many invited, but everyone has something better to do. My husbands family consists of a sister, her baby and husband and his mother here in California, about 50 miles north, who very recently suffered a death of a teen nephew and could not attend. The rest of his family is in London and other parts of the world. We did what we could to make it a special day.

I couldn’t help but ponder the utmost importance of the family’s role in the celebration and how big a part they are in making the child receiving the Sacrament understand its a BIG deal. When many come to celebrate something you have done, seeds are planted not for you, but for future generations to come. For them to make the Sacrament a BIG deal for their children and not lose the reverence for it and our Lord, by family that just can’t be bothered to participate. Therefore my child will understand that if she is given the gift of children later on, she to will do everything to make the Sacrament a Big Deal. Because it is.

In my struggles with not having many attend, I was presented with a thought that its not just about one day. Its about every day. Its a continuing “Celebration” in all time and eternity and as long as our Lord was present, so were all the Holy Angles & Saints. So were all those family members who could not be there for the party here with us, who are now with our Lord.

I find myself today, embracing the “tiny bunch of grapes” left in my home that are present to celebrate not only my daughters First Holy Communion, but for all Holy Communions in the Celebration of the Holy Mass that is ongoing for all time and eternity.

As we continued today, my husband surprised me and the girls with a trip to Greek Fest here in San Diego. We ate great food and seen children dancing and my children played games in the children area. As we sat with them, my youngest pointed to a sign and an area for very small children and said to me: “Mommy? Why can’t I be under 3 so I can play in that place?”. The Holy Spirit inflamed my heart with an answer. I said to her, you are under 3. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Sometimes we have to move on to different areas because we grow. That doesn’t mean your not under 3.(Father, Son & Holy Spirit) You will always be under 3. As long as you stay under 3. As we grow bigger, and we look back, we forget to look back forward to the things we can do and need to do rather then the things we can’t do anymore. God wants to show you new things as you are growing. She completely understood it! She didn’t throw a fit, she moved on. And so did I.

    May the Celebration continue!

    Glory to God.

EDIT TO ADD: From June 4th, 2015. Pope Francis on Twitter: “We need to build up society in the light of the Beatitudes, walking towards the Kingdom with the least among us.”

  • All We Need

    May 30th, 2015

    Holy_Trinity-300x277

Last night my family and I attended the San Diego Padres game. We bought tickets through my girls school to sit in a section dedicated to all the school. My youngest child got in some trouble earlier in the day the second I dropped her off for school, so I actually thought of keeping her home and letting my husband and older daughter go.

As we waited for my husband to get home so they could go, I kept hearing in my heart, its a family occasion. My daughter who got in trouble at school had already been punished at school for her behavior and I just was not settled completely what I was deciding. At the last second, I decided that we would all go.

As we go there and made our way to the fantastic seats and began to settle in, my older daughter pretended to be a princess, blew kisses to all and went to throw herself in her seat. Well, much to her surprise she fell back hard. Really hard and smacked her elbow on the arm rest as the seat she though was there had folded up and she slammed into the ground. It hurt. No one from her school had seen what she had done so it saved her little pride moment but she was hurt. We sat for a moment as I checked out her elbow to see what damage had been done and the pain on her face was there. She couldn’t move it and streaked at the thought of moving it.

For the first two innings of the game I comforted her and kept vigil for her and the elbow to see if maybe she had broken something. We couldn’t just jump in the car and go to the hospital to get her checked out as we had taken the train to get to the park. The more the tears flowed the more I became to worry if she had in fact broken something. I got up and walked her to the First Aid station. All we needed was ice.

As we walked through a maze of different directions we go there. Looked through the window and a group of souls opened the door for us. The immediately brought her in and placed her on a medical chair and began asking the questions and checking her out. The nurse and the EMT checked her over and she was given an ice pack to keep any swelling down. They talked to her and had her bend it and move it to see where she had gotten hurt. After a while, then they handed her a Padres hat and a baseball. I was never expecting that.

As I sat there I was flooded with thoughts of our Lord. How much more then will your Heavenly Father give to you? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

I have worried about so much in my life taking place that I had in the past allowed the worry to replace Life. Even for the benefit of others, as that is the basis for all worry I have had.  Worry does no good. Its the parable of the 10 Virgins that strikes me here. In all that I do for our Lord, I can not give my prayers and works to others to use for their salvation.  God doesn’t have grandchildren. Only you can say yes to the adoption to be His child. I can’t share my holiness with you for your salvation. I can be a model of holiness, but I can not be a fountain. That is reserved for our Lord. You have to become holy using His grace. You have to trim your lamps at all times. Which is done through prayers, receiving the sacraments and obedience to Him. You have to use His grace for your salvation.

When I first noticed and acted upon my conversion of heart, all I was looking for was to go to heaven. When you realize what comes with Heaven, you can only start to understand, all I wanted was an “ice pack”.

My daughter is fine, just a bruise and is playing today, a little more guarded over what she had experienced last night.

Thanks be to God for no broken bones.

Thanks be to God for all His gifts. Thanks be to Jesus Christ our Lord for the gift of Life. Thanks be to the most Holy Spirit for giving gifts of the Father and the Son. All praise and honor and all glory to the most Holy Trinity for You are all we truly need. Amen.

    From Catholic Online:

    Glory be to the Father,
Who by His almighty power and love created me,
making me in the image and likeness of God.
    Glory be to the Son,
Who by His Precious Blood delivered me from hell,
and opened for me the gates of heaven.
Glory be to the Holy Spirit,
Who has sanctified me in the sacrament of Baptism,
    and continues to sanctify me
by the graces I receive daily from His bounty.
Glory be to the Three adorable Persons of the Holy Trinity,
    now and forever.
    Amen.

One point I feel a need to make..

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.

O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

    Happy Birthday!

May we all unwrap the heavenly gifts of the most gracious Holy Spirit, use them all for the glory of God, be grateful and give thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ, for the gift of Himself, to us.

  • The Death of Secularism

    May 23rd, 2015

    images (40)

Its not the Catholic Church that has failed in Ireland with the passing of same sex Marriage. She never can. It is secularism that blinked exposing itself for the terminal cancer it has always been and many souls are suffering because of it. When our Lord was crucified and put to death, the secular world thought that was the end of Him also. False peace, is what same sex Marriage, abortion, and all that contradicts what is Right and Just in our Lord, is.

The secular world has always contradicted our Lord. It does not mean in any way they win or they can change anything. It means our Lord is Right and Just. Stick with Him. Not them. Do not cling to anything but Him. The gates of hell shall not prevail. Pray for those who persecute you. May they who have been swayed by secularism away from the Truth, be converted back to the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Your country can not save you. Your family can not save you. Your friends can not save you. Only Christ can save you. Place your Faith, Hope and Love back in Jesus Christ and nothing else. Repent. Not only Ireland, but everyone. Return to your first Love. God never changes. “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

There is a good reason for the upcoming Year of Mercy and our Lord Jesus Christ knows what He is doing.

Repent. Our Lord converted my heart when I was far off from Him, when my ideas of life were actually death to my soul. I pray today for the conversion of all who are still far away from Him through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, our Mother, Spouse of the most Holy Spirit, intercede for us and bring us into the fullness of the Sacred Heart of your Son, our Lord. Amen

Cardinal Wojtyla (Pope John Paul II) in an address during the Eucharistic Congress in 1976 for the Bicentennial celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence … said:
“We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has ever experienced. I do not think that the wide circle of the American Society, or the whole wide circle of the Christian Community realize this fully. We are now facing the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-church, between the gospel and the anti-gospel, between Christ and the antichrist. The confrontation lies within the plans of Divine Providence. It is, therefore, in God’s Plan, and it must be a trial which the Church must take up, and face courageously

  • Stewardship Not Idolatry

    May 22nd, 2015

    planet-of-the-apes

    Pondering…

    “Then God said: Let us make human beings in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the tame animals, all the wild animals, and all the creatures that crawl on the earth. God created mankind in his image;
in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them” God blessed them and God said to them: Be fertile and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it.Have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and all the living things that crawl on the earth.”

Jesus came to save humans, not animals. Man was created in the IMAGE of God. Thereby establishing that man has a soul and that soul is an eternal being as the Holy Trinity is eternal. By saving man from his sins, man would in fact be “stewards” once more in Love to all creation through placing love for God above all else. If man who has been given dominion over all creatures deducts that he is no better than animals without souls, he will live like an animal as he equates himself to a dog, ape or cat or any other creature, which do not possess intellect, he is excusing himself from the RESPONSIBILITY of being steward to all creation. Man is excluding himself from the responsibility to nurture and be held responsible for his actions which does NOT mean justification for his actions and lack there of and taking on the lesser form of creation. Therefore, not caring for the sick, the young, the unborn but equating Human Life to that of survival of the fittest through selfish ambition and seeing abortion and euthanasia for humans as a necessity as any pet kept, rather than as dreadfully sinful. He is in fact stating, “Am I my brother’s keeper?”, asserting no love for anything other than self. He proves that his love for animals or any created thing is out of selfishness, or disordered love, and is much greater than that for his own brothers and sisters and even himself. Its worshiping creation over that of the Creator which in fact is idolatry.

    From USCCB:

    Obstacles to Stewardship
People who want to live as Christian disciples and Christian stewards face serious obstacles. In the United States and other nations, a dominant secular culture often contradicts religious convictions about the meaning of life. This culture frequently encourages us to focus on ourselves and our pleasures.

At times, we can find it far too easy to ignore spiritual realities and to deny religion a role in shaping human and social values. As Catholics who have entered into the mainstream of American society and experienced its advantages, many of us also have been adversely influenced by this secular culture. We know what it is to struggle against selfishness and greed, and we realize that it is harder for many today to accept the challenge of being a Christian steward. It is essential, therefore, that we make a special effort to understand the true meaning of stewardship and live accordingly.

Our Lord Jesus Christ came to us as we are, human. He did not come to us as a goldfish nor a cat or dog.

If you seek to save ________________ (fill in the blank) you have to save souls first.

    Philippians 2 1:11

    Plea for Unity and Humility.
    1
If there is any encouragement in Christ, any solace in love, any participation in the Spirit, any compassion and mercy,
    2
complete my joy by being of the same mind, with the same love, united in heart, thinking one thing.
    3
Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory; rather, humbly regard others as more important than yourselves,
    4
each looking out not for his own interests, but [also] everyone for those of others.
    5
Have among yourselves the same attitude that is also yours in Christ Jesus,
    6
Who, though he was in the form of God,
did not regard equality with God something to be grasped.
    7
    Rather, he emptied himself,
taking the form of a slave,
    coming in human likeness;
    and found human in appearance,
    8
    he humbled himself,
becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross.
    9
Because of this, God greatly exalted him
and bestowed on him the name
    that is above every name,
    10
that at the name of Jesus
    every knee should bend,
of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
    11
    and every tongue confess that
    Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

  • Do You Love Me?

    May 22nd, 2015

    do-you-love-me-more-than-these-1024x576

Pondering the first stage of love: “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” These? Worldly pleasures & allurements. Selfish ambition. Its not what is in the trophy case, or the case itself, but the One who already achieved the win.

Simon Peter answered him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my lambs.” – Lambs? Lamb is a young sheep. Pondering the souls not yet in full mature faith. To nurture and teach. But what to teach? And you must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.” Never reaching back into the worldly allurements but seeing that what is above. Feeding the Spiritually nutritious foods, that being the Word of God and not just gobbling it down and rushing off to do what is fun and exciting to the eye, but teaching how to gnaw on the Word and chewing it over and over until it become pliable and the flavor is released. In prayer, while praying, do I rush through or do I pray slowly, allowing the words to penetrate into the deepest depths of my being? DO I hear what is being said from the Sacred Heart of my Lord or do I argue with the Word? Do I seek to allow Love to deepen within or do I seek to teach the Lover when the Lover already knows what I need?

He then said to Simon Peter a second time,“Simon, son of John, do you love me?”
Simon Peter answered him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.”

Tend? To tend means to behave in a particular way. What one sees, one does. What behavior of a soul consists of is the characteristics of the soul in living the life in the Spirit internally and externally. Externally being that of piety and the continued good behaviors, not seeking to justify bad behavior for self gain but living in Truth but for the benefit of the other. Sacrifice. Act, live, think, “You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect”. Put on the new man and cast away all that you once were. Why? Because True Love commands it. Not for fear, but for the sake of Love.

What is a sheep? Older than a lamb. Submissive. Giving in to Love and not being hard headed.

He said to him the third time,“Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was distressed that he had said to him a third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.”

To feed is to supply. To supply souls with what he has been given in Love, for Love. Not only in Word but in Deed and Spirit. Not only physically, but Spiritually and radiating it to the flock from within the heart that is joined to His completely. Agape. 100%
