  • Ah, Holy Jesu

    March 9th, 2015

    jesus-christ-crucifixion-645

Ah, holy Jesu, how hast Thou offended,
That man to judge Thee hath in hate pretended?
By foes derided, by Thine own rejected,
    O most afflicted.

Who was that guilty? Who brought this upon Thee?
Alas, my treason, Jesu, hath undone Thee.
’Twas I, Lord, Jesu, I it was denied Thee!
    I crucified Thee.

    Lo, the Good Shepherd for the sheep is offered;
    The slave hath sinned, and the Son hath suffered;
For man’s atonement, while he nothing heedeth,
    God intercedeth.

For me, kind Jesu, was Thy incarnation,
    Thy mortal sorrow, and Thy life’s oblation;
Thy death of anguish and Thy bitter passion,
    For my salvation.

Therefore, kind Jesu, since I cannot pay Thee,
I do adore Thee, and will ever pray Thee,
Think on Thy pity and Thy love unswerving,
    Not my deserving.

“Ah, holy, Jesu, how thou hast offended” by Choir of the Abbey School Tewkesbury; Words: Johann Heerman, Devoti Musica Cordis, 1630 (Herzliebster Jesu); translated from German to English by Robert S. Bridges, 1899.

    Litany of Humility.

O Jesus! meek and humble of heart, Hear me.
From the desire of being esteemed,
    Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being loved…
From the desire of being extolled …
From the desire of being honored …
From the desire of being praised …
From the desire of being preferred to others…
From the desire of being consulted …
From the desire of being approved …
From the fear of being humiliated …
From the fear of being despised…
From the fear of suffering rebukes …
From the fear of being calumniated …
From the fear of being forgotten …
From the fear of being ridiculed …
From the fear of being wronged …
From the fear of being suspected …

That others may be loved more than I,
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.

That others may be esteemed more than I …
That, in the opinion of the world,
others may increase and I may decrease …
That others may be chosen and I set aside …
That others may be praised and I unnoticed …
That others may be preferred to me in everything…
That others may become holier than I, provided that I may become as holy as I should…

    Amen

  • Jesus Christ Is My King

    March 2nd, 2015

    Christ the King

Can you say that and live it? Repeat it. Jesus Christ is my King.
    JESUS CHRIST IS MY KING!

    Jesus Christ

    Is

    My

    King!

I have been pondering a lot lately, all through history, asking of God, by souls, for a King in this world, to lead to victory. To “deliver” them from the torment in their lives. Today we see this in the political arena along with the religious arena. Back this political leader over this one! Back this religious leader over this one! This Holy Father over that Holy Father. This Bishop over That Bishop!

In politics, you will never have peace. If you bring politics into the Faith, you will never have peace. When you constantly believe that this one, RIGHT HERE, will lead you to the promised land, you will get nothing but lost in the “desert”. Moses already did his job. Yeah, it starts off all sweet and wonderful appointing your own king in this world, but by the time you realize he is not THE King, nor is he Moses, its time to replace him with another and your exactly in the same place you started off. Jesus Christ is KING!

With politics, if God is not the head, if God is not the basis of the moral position of the candidate its a dead deal. End of story. Beginning of story for any God fearing soul to place their faith back into our Lord where it belongs. Jesus Christ Is My King!

In the Church, when we follow this one over that one, or this thinking and this group over this one, we do exactly as St. Paul said not to. Love them ALL. Love God above them all. We must always take into account that THIS ONE, is a Priest of our Lord. THAT ONE, is a Priest of our Lord. Our LORD is King. He appoints. He places. He is doing the work. He is head of the Church. If you have an issue with one of our Lord appointments, take it up with Him. Ask Him in prayer. If our Lord appoints one who is not considered “good” we must take into account that He also appointed Judas Iscariot, which lead to? Everything that comes to us, is from our Lord.By way of allowing it, or sending it. There is good reason in everything as His judgement is right and just for all that comes to us. Good and bad.

    Repent.

    Glory to God.
    JESUS CHRIST IS MY KING!

“The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.” Revelation 11:15

With the Resurrection of our Lord….

The only problem in this world we have ever had, was solved and rectified over 2000 years ago. Like so many who doubt, the world continues to state “I don’t believe it”, either with awe or doubt, BELIEVE it..

With pride, its always said, “I can do that better”. Always trying to “build a better mouse trap”, creating problems for himself, where there no longer exists any.

Jesus Christ fixed the ONLY problem we truly ever had, but man continues to believe he can fix it better.

Just STOP! “Do whatever he tells you.”

  • The Cihost’ Miracle, All Miracles

    February 25th, 2015

    viewPhoto

    From CNA/EWTN News

A priest who witnessed to a miracle in communist Czechoslovakia in the 1940s was tortured and beaten to death for refusing to recant what his parishioners had seen. And now Catholics from the country are honoring his heroic virtue and pushing for him to be recognized as a martyr.

    photo

During the season of Advent in 1949 – the early phase of the communist era in Czechoslovakia – some parishioners told Fr. Toufar that they saw a cross at the altar in the church moving from one side to another several times. The event has come to be known as “the Cihost’ miracle.”

To prevent the news of the phenomenon from going public, the secret police interrogated Fr. Toufar, demanding that he say that he had moved the cross himself.

    The priest, however, refused.

In response, the police beat him so drastically that he was unable to speak, walk or sit. Later tortured until he would sign a document asserting his guilt, he died two months after the miracle took place.

After Fr. Toufar’s death, the Church along with all religions were suppressed across the Soviet Union-led communist regime. The state was officially atheist and any accounts of miracles and those who spoke of them were treated in way to be erased from the record and the historical memory. The regime even filmed a documentary which tried to show that the Cihost’ miracle was a forgery.

    Read more here

Today’s secular society continually seeks “signs”. Constantly looks for the ONE THING that would change their minds in regards to the faith, to cause one to repent and believe in our Lord. Always missing the fact that the “signs” of our Lords presence in our lives and in this world are so bright and so prevalent, one with faith can never miss them, and those without faith in Him, will always refuse to believe they are His “signs” at all. Placing their faith in something other then Him. Some other reason, some other answer, some other theory. Therefor making it impossible for themselves to find exactly what all hearts seek, that being peace.

In my own life, in trying to share my personal experiences with Christ our Lord with others, sharing all He has done for me and all He continues to do,every second, I am beginning to see the importance in His silence during His “trial”. His silence, keeps us silent to those who refuse to believe in Him. Stone hearts stood in judgement over flesh. In their minds, our Lord was already guilty and all “they” wanted was to silence Him. If “they” could not silence Him, “their” world would change drastically. Their “lifestyle” would change drastically and they, in fact, would have to change. No different then today. The evil that drove them, as the same evil today, would cease to exist, if they only listened and acted when they had the chance. You see today, where this Communist era ended and the Church and her faithful, continue on. Patience in trials, obtains all.

As the Communists did here and secular society’s try to do today to Christians, by trying to force them to adhere to secular teachings rather then “cleave” to Him and what He has taught us, with abortion, homosexual marriage, euthanasia, promiscuity, divorce, and like any “used car”, to much to list, secular society’s believe they are “gods” and force others, the faithful, who do not comply with their teachings, just as they did to our Lord.

At our Lords trial, many asked Him to prove Himself. Prove His words and actions. It wouldn’t have mattered what He would have done, as their minds and hearts were made up to crucify Him. All He did and said, was used against Him, instead of for Him, therefor bringing about His death and Resurrection, over 2000 years ago. He continues on. He always continues on. He is timeless.

You see, those who DO listen, who do repent, who do change and follow Him, have that peace in this life our Lord promised. Those stone hearts that once sat in the chests of many, became flesh again and were able to love as He loves. As you are still in the world, repent. Don’t wait until death. At death, its to late to go back and do everything for Him, after doing everything against Him. Where is Communism in Czechoslovakia today? Dead. Our Lord is still alive. Everything is a miracle. Everything is a sign.

    Today’s Gospel:

While still more people gathered in the crowd, Jesus said to them,
    “This generation is an evil generation;
it seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it,
    except the sign of Jonah.
Just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites,
so will the Son of Man be to this generation.
    At the judgment
the queen of the south will rise with the men of this generation
    and she will condemn them,
because she came from the ends of the earth
to hear the wisdom of Solomon,
and there is something greater than Solomon here.
At the judgment the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation
    and condemn it,
because at the preaching of Jonah they repented,
and there is something greater than Jonah here.” – LK 11:29-32

Today is First Friday. Tomorrow is First Saturday

On Saturday, the people of Slovakia will vote in a nationwide referendum once more to define marriage as between one man and one woman—and also to deny same-sex couples the ability to adopt. The referendum would also give parents the right to keep their children from sex education classes in school.

  • “Lets Twist Again” – Pope Francis Speaks “Shadows And Dangers”

    REALITY

From Vatican News: The Pope praises the service of the Public Security Inspectorate in the Vatican

The quote so distorted and twisted out of proportion it enough to cause terror itself. The OFFICIAL Vatican Statement being twisted completely for someones agenda,is this:

“We began a new year a short while ago, and we have many hopes and expectations. We also see on the horizon the shadows and dangers that trouble humanity. As Christians we are called upon not to lose heart or to be discouraged. Our hope rests upon an immovable rock: God’s love, revealed and given in Christ Jesus, our Lord” – Pope Francis

  • Our Holy Father

    January 20th, 2015

    l43-papa-francesco-130720120811_big

Too often, we don’t “hunker down”, like the Apostles, and wait for the Holy Spirit to come, and we get blown around by the “secular wind” and respond with knee jerk reactions, leading others to do the same. Pray! Wait! Listen! Then IF the need arises, respond in kindness. Otherwise we get sucked into false notions and accusations and they rob us of the peace our Lord has given to us. Patience. If you feel “resentment” by the words of our Holy Father, look deeper into yourself first. If you find yourself hanging on every word Pope Francis says, simply looking for that one word, that one statement to crucify him with, remember the scribes and pharisees did that to our Lord. Harden not your hearts.

This will be my final post..

It’s not that I am going to stop pondering as that is truly something our Lord has blessed me with. Not going to stop attending daily Holy Mass or Adoration or being a Third Order Carmelite. But it is time to move forward. I truly feel this goes with all my “social media”, as I am starting to see this as being anything but social. More like anti-social. Much in the way I am viewing the whole Facebook Wall as it separates us from the reality of one on one conversation and actual contact with the outside. We become unable to see others in a “Natural” Light and give and receive true peace, mercy, compassion, warmth and Love. Unable to “hear” the words those you love are trying to say. Therefore adding to the confusion of being misunderstood and misunderstanding the others. Making it a platform for jumping to conclusions…

I believe I am still called to write, but in many ways, more seriously in my personal journal off the internet. Although this has started as such, it’s becoming a temptation for me to look and see who has read it. To see if anyone “gets it”. To see if anyone is “hearing”, only now understanding, God does and that is all that matters.

I will continue to pray for everyone and I ask you to please keep me in your prayers.

    I love you.

  • God’s Bucket Chalenge

    August 22nd, 2014

    imagesJEVZVZOP

I smiled a bit last night at Holy Mass, pondering about the worlds idea of the Ice Bucket Challenge, and our Lords while reciting the Responsorial Psalm: “I will pour clean water on you and wash away all your sins.” Ezekiel 36:25 The key words being “I WILL”. If the world only knew..

Taking into account the Ice Bucket Challenge funds are donated to embryonic stem cell research, it’s not for me. I seek to live this life in Christ. Respecting His gift of baptism to promote life. Not destroying it.

    From CNA:

In a statement released Aug. 20, the archdiocese voiced concerns over the ALS association’s support of embryonic stem cell research, which requires the destruction of embryonic life.

“The archdiocese is not dissuading individual Catholics from making donations, but they are encouraged to be fully informed and make their own prudential judgments.”

“The Archdiocese of Cincinnati has determined that its Catholic schools will not, as organizations, donate to that particular charity,” it read.

“To quote St. John Paul II, ‘Any treatment which claims to save human lives, yet is based upon the destruction of human life in its embryonic state, is logically and morally contradictory, as is any production of human embryos for the direct or indirect purpose of experimentation or eventual destruction.’”

The John Paul II Medical Research Institute (JP2MRI) is a secular non-profit research institute “grounded in a pro-life bioethic that respects the dignity of every human life,” according to their website. They conduct research to advance technology to treat diseases such as ALS, cancer, Alzheimer’s and other more rare diseases.

  • Lost In The Deep Dark Night

    August 13th, 2014

The death of Robin Williams is tragic. I see many now talking about how we can’t call suicide a “selfish act.” Being a survivor myself, by the grace of God, I will always call it selfish. We can never lose sight of God in this life. When we do, life does become hopeless. As without God, there is no hope. This does not mean I believe for a second all souls who commit this act are in hell. It means that we can NEVER lose sight of the mercy of God, no matter how “hopeless” everything may seem.

For him and all who did not get the second chance I did.

Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord and let your perpetual light shine upon them. May they and all the holy souls in purgatory rest in peace. Amen

    August 13th, 2014

    Iraq 111

We need NOT to get sucked into war, but rather stay the humanitarian course SENDING FOOD, WATER, SHELTER & MEDICINE BUT ABOVE ALL, PRAYERS! The evil one would LOVE to suck us in to war just to say to the world, see what they are doing, because its his design to kill. We can’t fall for the evil ones designs. We must understand FORTITUDE in the faith, bombard the entire situation with LOVE and unite our suffering and theirs with our Lords, Fearing God Alone.

“What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim upon the housetops. “Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. “Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.”

  • Scent of Lilies

    August 11th, 2014

    bc32b78e28a25950c98c8ce2aa6da768

Just over a year ago, my husbands niece was born. They named her Lilly. Keep in mind one of the greatest sufferings I have had to bear is my husband just had not been converted back home at the same rate as I have. I will not go further with this. After Lilly was born, my sister-in-law decided to have my husband be her God Father. I had mixed feeling about this. I was concerned for Lilly as my husband was still very worldly. I pray for him continually and I love him very much. There is a reason our Lord gave us BOTH the grace to make it through the Annulment Process and enter into Marriage. See my post: Cohabitation And Holy Communion and after making it through this, I truly had started to grow to understand that I can not change anyone, and that only our Lord could.

I had been asking him for months, to please go to confession before becoming God Father. He continually put it off until this week I had asked him on Friday, as the Baptism was set for Sunday, did you go? He said no. He was too busy. Well, my patience had run out in this matter. I didn’t want to be a part of a sacrament that mean nothing to him as he was about to take a vital role in the spiritual life of another. I told him I would not be going. I went into the yard and began to plant flowers. (Impatiens of all things) I prayed and planted, becoming more upset that anyone could have such disregard for what they were taking on. Keep in mind, my husband is Greek Orthodox. I’m not that familiar with the faith but I have this drive in me from our Lord to ensure my husband gets to heaven. I love him very much. I know our Lord placed him in my life for a reason. I also, through my faith believe we are truly bound to our Lord and married WITH Him. It’s very painful to see one you love so dearly not allowing our Lord to love him. I was blinded my own IDEA that I could somehow control what was taking place in HIS spiritual life.

I dusted the dirt off and went inside. I changed and left, upset, for Adoration. As I sat in front of our Lord I asked Him what I could do? What should I do? I prayed. My cell phone rang and I left the Church to see what it was. It was a wrong number. I shut off the phone and went back in and began to pray again. I felt so horrible that I had distracted others. I apologized to our Lord for not remembering to turn off the phone. My shoulders drooped and I felt very deflated. I told our Lord I never wanted to embarrass Him. I never wanted to do anything that would be shameful to Him. I love Him very much. Sometimes I may try to hard and I never mean to hurt Him or anyone. I left, and headed back home.

As I entered the house, I was crying a bit as I was under a feeling of total defeat. I wasn’t sure where our Lord wanted me nor what He needed me to do. I wasn’t sure what any of this was about anymore but I resigned myself to the faith He knew what He was doing and I trust Him and His mercy. I have HOPE! Along with Faith & Love. As painful as they may all be at times, they truly are priceless.

My husband didn’t say a word and I entered back into the yard. I sat down and began to ponder. Defeated. I looked down at the flower bed I had just planted, and seen that someone had sprinkled seeds among the flowers I had planted. The seed being a sort of grass seed. At first I began to cry hard. All the work I had done was ruined. Then like that, BAM! The Parable of the Weeds among the Wheat.

I was at peace. I understood in that second, our Lord had answered my prayer. I was still a bit aggregated that someone had done this, but over time, I forgave and told my husband, I would be going Sunday to the Baptism. I knew, everything in God’s time, not mine.

Sunday came, I attended Holy Mass at our old Roman Catholic parish, with my daughters, and after we left for the Baptism. The Greek Orthodox Priest had told every what was needed and the Baptism commenced. As I watched, I became awe-struck, as my husband renounce Satan, all his works, and entered back into the faith himself, along with this little sweet child. I had never seen my husband pray. I had never seen him in the Light. Our Lord was bringing two in at the same time. One through renewal and the other as new. My heart began to fly. I was so overjoyed and thanked our Lord that He had shown me so much. After the Baptism my husband went to confession. I will not go into details as this is something I do not have the grace to write about. I can tell you there was an explosion of LOVE between my husband and I that only God could ignite. I continue to pray unceasingly for him and will always. I don’t know where this may lead him, but everything starts someplace. Like the second the weds and the wheat sprout, NO ONE knows which is which, BUT God, until it is unmistakable. That flame that I had carried for our Lord in faith, had been lit in my husband’s soul. Our Lord used the birth of a child to do this once again.. St. Augustine said it best: “Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe.”

This Friday is the Feast of the Assumption of our Blessed Mother. I can not help but already smell the Lilly’s left behind.

Glory to God. Praise be to God.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel, pray for us

St. John the Baptist, pray for us.

  • The Demon Wolves of ISIS: Ancient Assyria Reborn

    August 11th, 2014

    images9LLADWRP

I seen a photo of a woman. Her hands were bound along with her legs. Her head was held over a basin. Her throat was slashed and the blood drained out of her naked body into the basin. How much more brutalization of Christians will convince you that this is evil. That this IS the evil one committing these atrocities through “Secularism” in Iraq? And through silence of this, in the rest of the world? How much more silence do you think we can we endure from the world? I WILL NOT POST THE PHOTO out of respect.

“Those who remain silent are responsible.” -St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein)

Must read! Yes! This is taking place today!

    Fr. Dwight Longenecker

The Demon Wolves of ISIS: Ancient Assyria Reborn

Lord Byron’s poem The Destruction of Sennacherib begins with the line, “The Assyrian came down like a wolf on the fold.”

My friend Paul Thigpen makes the link between the warlords of the Islamic State (IS) and their historic predecessors, the warlike Assyrians.

Two ancient civilizations jockeyed for power in what is now the nation of Iraq: Babylon to the south and Assyria to the North.

The Assyrian Empire was centered on the exact geographical territory that Islamic State now claims–Eastern Syria and Northern Iraq.

Assyria emerged as a territorial state in the 14th century B.C. Its territory covered approximately the northern part of modern Iraq. The first capital of Assyria was Assur, located about 150 miles north of modern Baghdad on the west bank of the Tigris River. The city was named for its national god, Assur, from which the name Assyria is also derived.

While the Babylonian Empire was known for its accomplishments in learning, architecture, and the arts, the Assyrians were known as experts in warfare. Cruel, bloodthirsty and proud, they bragged about their military victories and heartless oppression of their victims.

  • Homily On Iraq: MUST HEAR For All Catholics

    August 4th, 2014

    BqmCPSnCIAErqui.jpg-large

    Brothers and sisters:
What will separate us from the love of Christ?
Will anguish, or distress, or persecution, or famine,
or nakedness, or peril, or the sword?
No, in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly
    through him who loved us.
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life,
    nor angels, nor principalities,
nor present things, nor future things,
nor powers, nor height, nor depth,
nor any other creature will be able to separate us
from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.ROM 8:35, 37-39

I was moved to tears and more at Holy Mass yesterday morning, when I heard after the Homily from a local Chaldean Deacon who was invited by our Priest to give a talk after the Homily, with first hand knowledge, of what has and is taking place in Iraq. This taking place to our Christian brothers & sisters, being tortured, murdered, raped and martyred by ISIS, being paid for by THIS nation we live in by the Obama administration. ISIS hate our Lord. They hate Him. They hate Him in the Eucharist. They hate Him in His Church. They Hate Him in His followers. They hate Him in the Rosary we pray to pull closer to Him. They hate Him in the statue’s that are religious “photos” of those we love and look to for peace and model our lives after. They hate Him and that is why they persecute us. They hate us, because we BELIEVE. We must protect our Lord and all that He is. This is a “Spiritual Battle” against evil that is manifesting itself and making itself known bluntly as evil across the globe. We must defend religious freedom, we must defend our Lord in the Eucharist. We must defend the FAITH He has given to us, even at the cost as He did, “death on a cross”. The cross we carry for future generations to find that peace, the world and worldly are rejecting.

We truly are at war. Spiritual War, against Satan and his demons, who seek to destroy everything that even resembles our Lord in this world, in even the slightest way. Come back home to our Lord. Yes it is already won through our Lord but now is the time to choose a side. Wake up! REPENT.

    Homily On Iraq: LISTEN HERE!

    dvDpuYF
“A small white lamb follows a white donkey through the rubble of homes in the northern district of Beit Hanun” Israel

    I believe in one God,
    the Father Almighty,
    maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
    true God from true God,
    begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
    he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate
    of the Virgin Mary,
    and became man.

    For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
    in accordance of the Scriptures;
    he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead
and His kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
With the Father and the Son
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

  • The Faith of Elijah

    July 21st, 2014

    fire from heaven

A recent story came out regarding the words of the Imam who was present in the Vatican garden for the “Prayers for Peace”: What Did the Imam Really Say? Revisited

I’m reminded of the faith of the Prophet Elijah. Being Catholic we KNOW there is only One God. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Remember those who worshiped the false idols:

25 Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, “Choose one of the bulls and prepare it first, since there are so many of you. Call on the name of your god, but do not light the fire.” 26 So they took the bull given them and prepared it.

Then they called on the name of Baal from morning till noon. “Baal, answer us!” they shouted. But there was no response; no one answered. And they danced around the altar they had made.

27 At noon Elijah began to taunt them. “Shout louder!” he said. “Surely he is a god! Perhaps he is deep in thought, or busy, or traveling. Maybe he is sleeping and must be awakened.” 28 So they shouted louder and slashed themselves with swords and spears, as was their custom, until their blood flowed. 29 Midday passed, and they continued their frantic prophesying until the time for the evening sacrifice. But there was no response, no one answered, no one paid attention.

    Hummm

    Elijah’s Prayer
…37″Answer me, O LORD, answer me, that this people may know that You, O LORD, are God, and that You have turned their heart back again.” 38 Then the fire of the LORD fell and consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. 39 When all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, “The LORD, He is God; the LORD, He is God.”…

Place your trust in our Lord.

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.”

  • Persecution In All Forms

    July 21st, 2014

    topic

“Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so men persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

Persecution of Christians takes place in many forms. In Iraq, we see the destruction that men do with the sword. In the US we see what takes place with the pen. Both equal in hate for anything sacred. Both being bough forth through not loving God above all else.

There is a spectrum of persecution taking place across the globe. One is not greater than the other. They all stem from hate. A hatred that comes from fear. A fear of self. The self that holds on to everything other than God. Fear of letting go of prejudiced and conviction not from God. The self-justification that somehow if I am not physically killing someone, but rather pushing for them to change their “belief” is killing. Killing the fundamental base for all faith. That being, we are not God. As Christians, when our Lord calls us to die to self, we freely give up the sinfulness of self, and follow him. When the government says “Convert or Die”, it is following its own design and not that of our Lord. When persecution comes by the pen, its screaming to the world, WE ARE GOD! When persecution comes at the hand of a sword, it screams WE ARE GOD! There is no difference. The pen may be mightier then the sword, but it can be used as a weapon and is, more than not when the truth is trying to be suppressed.

“Remember the word that I said to you, `A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you”

    EDIT TO ADD:

USCCB Chairmen Respond To ‘Unprecedented And Extreme’ Executive Order

    July 21, 2014
WASHINGTON–The bishop-Chairmen of two USCCB Committees responded with great concern to President Obama’s July 21 executive order to prohibit federal government contractors from what the Administration deems “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” discrimination and to forbid “gender identity” discrimination in the employment of federal employees. The problems the bishops identify in the order relate both to the flaws in its core prohibitions, and to its lack of religious freedom protection.

Two USCCB Chairmen – Archbishop William E. Lori of Baltimore, Chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee for Religious Liberty and Bishop Richard J. Malone of Buffalo, Chairman of the Committee on Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth – together issued the following statement.

Today’s executive order is unprecedented and extreme and should be opposed.

In the name of forbidding discrimination, this order implements discrimination. With the stroke of a pen, it lends the economic power of the federal government to a deeply flawed understanding of human sexuality, to which faithful Catholics and many other people of faith will not assent. As a result, the order will exclude federal contractors precisely on the basis of their religious beliefs.

More specifically, the Church strongly opposes both unjust discrimination against those who experience a homosexual inclination and sexual conduct outside of marriage, which is the union of one man and one woman. But the executive order, as it regards federal government contractors, ignores the inclination/conduct distinction in the undefined term “sexual orientation.” As a result, even contractors that disregard sexual inclination in employment face the possibility of exclusion from federal contracting if their employment policies or practices reflect religious or moral objections to extramarital sexual conduct.

The executive order prohibits “gender identity” discrimination, a prohibition that is previously unknown at the federal level, and that is predicated on the false idea that “gender” is nothing more than a social construct or psychological reality that can be chosen at variance from one’s biological sex. This is a problem not only of principle but of practice, as it will jeopardize the privacy and associational rights of both federal contractor employees and federal employees. For example, a biological male employee may be allowed to use the women’s restroom or locker room provided by the employer because the male employee identifies as a female.

In an attempt to avoid these needless conflicts, states that have passed “sexual orientation” or “gender identity” prohibitions have overwhelmingly included protections for religious employers. When the U.S. Senate, which is controlled by the President’s own party, passed the similar Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) last year, it included religious liberty protections as well. Indeed, all prior versions of ENDA had at least some religious liberty protections. But the executive order is an anomaly in this regard, containing no religious liberty protections. In this way, the order, which is fundamentally flawed in itself, also needlessly prefers conflict and exclusion over coexistence and cooperation.

Regarding federal contractors, the Executive Order will take effect after rules to be promulgated by the Department of Labor implementing the Executive Order become final. Regarding federal employment, the Executive Order is effective immediately.

When I was received into the Third Order of Carmel, I received my Scapular, “The Yoke of Christ”. Also, I was given a prayer card. When I got home after the beauty of the day, I read it and much to my surprise I noticed my name was spelled wrong. An “N” was placed in the center of my last name. As I pondered it, I heard our Lord in my heart tell me to look up the meaning of “N” in Hebrew. So I did.

(The prayer card below from July 12, 2014)

    IMAG1423

In the last few days hearing the news in Iraq and the persecution of the Christians, I have come to understand completely, “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

We are untied in Christ. “Be not afraid”.

    Nun: The Sign of Genocide

Nun (ن), the 14th letter of the Arabic alphabet (the equivalent of letter N in our Roman alphabet), is the first letter of the word Nasara (نصارى : Nazarenes), the way Muslims have called Christians since the beginning of their invasion of the Christian world in the 7th century — Christians under Muslim rule never called themselves thus, since the intent of Muslims was to portray Christians as a contemptible and disobedient sect.

It is the same name of the equivalent letter (נ) in the Hebrew alphabet (also a Semitic language), and it reminds us of the words of Jeremiah, also crying for an exile of his people sent to Mesopotamia:

Nun. The yoke of my iniquities hath watched: they are folded together in his hand, and put upon my neck: my strength is weakened: the Lord hath delivered me into a hand out of which I am not able to rise. (Lamentations, 1)

  • Religious Freedom In The USA Is In DANGER

    July 15th, 2014

    the_church_has_outlived_every_major_empire_poster-r6d571600f4b84db5a63743ea4e4ccef8_w2q_8byvr_512

Since the Supreme Court ruled on the Hobby Lobby case, some members of Congress are trying an end around to undermine our religious freedom.

YOU need to get involved with this one. YOU need to pick up your phone and call your senators or write an email. Concrete helpful info and links, below.

    Here is the explanation

Cardinal O’Malley, Archbishop Lori To Senate: Oppose Bill That Attacks Religious Freedom

WASHINGTON—In a letter sent July 14 to all U.S. Senators, Cardinal Seán O’Malley of Boston and Archbishop William E. Lori of Baltimore stated their “strong opposition to the misnamed ‘Protect Women’s Health From Corporate Interference Act of 2014’ (S. 2578).” Cardinal O’Malley and Archbishop Lori chair the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’s Committee on Pro-Life Activities and Ad Hoc Committee for Religious Liberty, respectively.

“Though cast as a response to the Supreme Court’s narrow decision in Burwell v. Hobby Lobby, the bill ranges far beyond that decision, potentially attacking all existing federal protections of conscience and religious freedom regarding health coverage mandates,” they wrote.

The two bishops identified several areas of concern with the bill, including its unprecedented curtailment of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993; its potential for overriding other federal conscience protections, including the Hyde-Weldon amendment on abortion; its application to coverage mandates beyond the HHS contraceptive mandate; its application to employers beyond for-profit businesses; and its denial of religious freedom for employees and their minor dependents, not just employers.

“In short, the bill does not befit a nation committed to religious liberty. Indeed, if it were to pass, it would call that commitment into question. Nor does it show a genuine commitment to expanded health coverage, as it would pressure many Americans of faith to stop providing or purchasing health coverage altogether. We oppose the bill and urge you to reject it,” they wrote.

Full text of the letter is available online HERE.

    WHAT TO DO?

    Recommended Actions:

Send e-mails through NCHLA’s Action Center. Click HERE.
Contact your Senators by phone. Call the U.S. Capitol switchboard at: 202-224-3121, or call Senators’ local offices. Full contact info is on Senators’ web sites at: http://www.senate.gov.

Suggested Message: “Please vote against the Protect Women’s Health from Corporate Interference Act (S. 2578). This misnamed measure would revoke conscience rights now guaranteed by the Religious Freedom Restoration Act and other federal laws. In the future it could empower federal officials to mandate abortion or any other item in all health plans, forcing Americans to violate their deeply held religious and moral beliefs on respect for human life.”

When: The Senate may vote as early as the week of July 14. Please contact your Senators today!

  • The Sower And The Seed

    July 13th, 2014

    107750_sprout

Todays Gospel, The Parable Of The Sower And The Seed (Matthew 13:1-23),is one that I have pondered over an over. My love for our Lord so deeply set in the “seed” when I was young. Loving Him so, and as age set in, so did the influence of the world. I was “carried away”. I was devoured by the “bird” of the world while I sat on the path. Being swallowed in sin and constant turbulence in the bowels of the world and worldliness. Taken into total darkness, wondering where I was, Where God was, and then becoming so indifferent to Him, surrounded by death and destruction, but still knowing there is a God, as I kept the “original form” that baptism had given to me. Knowing as I moved through the bowels of sin, that God was real. Somewhere. He had to be.

My conversion of heart came! I was still that little seed, but covered in the “poop” of my sinfulness as all worldliness and worldly desire is poop. As I hit the ground, and repentance came, the more I turned to the Grace our Lord offered me, His light shone on me and through constantly receiving His sacraments I was “watered”, washing away the “poop” of my mortal sinfulness.

I started to “sprout”. This little plant, in the beginning, couldn’t see above much as I struggled and tried to stretch up to receive more and more of the LOVE that our Lord was giving to me. I could see other beautiful flowers and a huge tree but I was so close to the ground, all I could do, was to look “Up”.

Yesterday, as I had finally reached a growing point, I looked arround. I realized I had been planted in the “Garden of our Lady of Mount Carmel”. This realization does not give me a pass not to grow any further. On the contrary, now, using all the gifts I have been given by our Lord, I must THRIVE in His Light and Love, to ensure I am not a “weed” but rather able to produce “Fruit” that is pleasing to our Lord. For our Lord.

  • Our Lady

    July 12th, 2014

    carmelite-thumb

Last night, I attended Exposition of our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, for the soul purpose of what took place in my life today. Handing myself fully over to Him.

I entered the Chapel of St. John of the Cross, and came face to face with our Lord. I thanked him for all He had done for me and to me through my conversion of heart. I poured myself out to Him and simply asked Him if He would allow me to enter under the Mantle of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. As I finished praying, I felt this tickle under my nose and sneezed. All I could hear in my heart was “God bless you”.

To someone who doesn’t understand His presence completely taking over my life, it’s a meaningless thing that occurred. To me, this so simple action would have been nothing more than a sneeze after prayers, if it hadn’t been told to me a long time before. I knew in my heart, our Lord truly called me with the words, “God bless you”.

Looking back through my enter conversion, not able to comprehend our Lord calling to me in so many ways and thinking I was in “Trouble”, struggling with what so many call “Scrupulosity” as it was, for most of this, I instantly knew how to “Trust Him”. The evil one would never use a soul to repent of ones evilness, nor call them to come and sit in front of the Blessed Sacrament to be near our Lord and empty ones self of all “self”, receive the sacraments, attend daily Mass let alone, enter the Third Order of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. I’m not trying to blow my own horn here, the glory is our Lords. The honor is our Lords. Everything belongs to Him. “Ad maiorem Dei gloriam”. To the greater glory of God.

Today, this morning, I was received under Our Lady’s Mantle. The mantle of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Many years ago, going back to the point of least “distraction”, as I attended confession for a sin that caused me great pains for many years, my penance was to sit in front of our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. As I did, I was reduced into a blubbering pool of tears at how I refused to listen to Him in my youth. How I refused to confess that one sin for fear. As I looked up between sobbing, I seen the face of our Lord in the Eucharist. There was no doubt it was Him with His Crown of Thorns very visible to me. There were many others in the room with me and they did not see, was I was “Seeing”. I then seen myself as a child of about 3. I don’t profess to know what this means other than our Lord loves me too.

When our Lord “opens eyes” for the first time, there is utter horror at the fact we have been so sinful and rotting in our sins. But the greater horror is that we have hurt our Lord so painfully. You NEVER seek to hurt Him again. Our “environment of sinfulness” becomes a place we never wish or hope to be. To see ones self in this way causes the soul to pull closer and closer to Him, and away from that world we once lived in, along with a deep repentance of all our sins. Not just the big ones. All sins. You begin to say NO to yourself, and yes to all our Lord commands and all He has said and done. The “appetite” for pleasures changes from flesh, to “Spirit” as the soul realizes the reality that all “pleasure” comes from our Lord. One doesn’t seek vanity, or fortune or fame. As all those things that man can give, and do, never replace or replenish the soul for this desire for all things holy. All things change! God never does. He remains as He is.

He becomes the “Object of all Desire”. You turn from self, and turn to Him as His grace replaces self. The key is to act upon it. It’s easy to see why so many refuse to believe in Him. It’s quite simple. Because they don’t want to. There isn’t a PLACE in His “Kingdom” that any soul can escape Him and His mercy He is offering to all souls. All it takes is denying self, and accepting Him. ALL of Him.

Mama Mary is the shinning example of His Grace. The first question: “How can this be, since I have no relations with a man?” In thinking of this passage in scripture and pondering it, how can anyone of us believe in Him, if we refuse to have a “Relationship” with Him. Unless we say yes, the only relation will be with self. The world shook around her, and His “Kingdom Within” that was brought forth to the world, was the first peek into the “Kingdom” she was told of, through His Grace, by saying yes and acting on it! She remained in “His Kingdom Within” with not only constantly saying yes Lord, but acting on it, even to the day she told Him, “They have no wine”.

Accepting the sorrows as knowing, this to shall pass no matter how great the sorrow may be, she did not remain in the sorrow, nor allow it to take hold of her, as He remained with Her in Spirit, guiding her through it. Therefore she was there to strengthen and guide the Apostles, when that same Spirit came to them, to guide them through and not cling to it but to the Spirit and become one. I have learned that the greatest use for His grace, is humility. Placing ones self last as Mama Mary does. She does not seek to be known, rather she seeks to glorify God. She does not seek self. She seeks simply to do the will of God because she loves Him.

“Do not be afraid” were the words first offered to our Holy Mother as are the words today, to each soul from our Lord who turn to Him.

Thank you Mama, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, for saying yes.

  • “Hope And Change”

    July 9th, 2014

    gods-way-hope-and-change

Pondering Obama: While he spouted “Hope & Change” he couldn’t “see”, that, “Hope & Change” only truly comes through Christ. Evil, be it intentions or actions, never win.

One need look only on Obama, and the “works” of his political party to see we NEED to turn back to God. “Return To Our First Love”.

Little did Obama know that his promise of “Hope & Change” was actually God calling the faithful to “see” him and what is going on in this nations for what it is. Spotlight on evil. We know. Glory to God for shedding light on evil for what it is. Glory to God for pulling souls closer to Him.

“Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam” – We know all things work for the greater glory of God. See God in all things. See God in all creation. See God in all souls.

Repent. Turn back to God. Love God above all things.

Over the gates of hell reads a sign, “Abandon ye hope all who enter here.” but over the gates of heaven reads but one word, “Forgiven!” – Dante Alighieri (Divine Comedy)

  • Heavy Lifting

    July 1st, 2014

    Vatican Pope Egypt

I have been pondering lately about women who hope to be Roman Catholic Priests. First off, let me say, it sickens me to think of a woman as a Roman Catholic Priest. Only a Man can be a Father. Just as only a woman can be a Mother.

Women have so many ways to be a part of the Church that Men can’t be, that i find it sad, some women think they can fill their shoes. Just as it takes a Man and a Woman to bring forth life, it takes pious Men and Women to hold that life of the Church together, in different ways that don’t compete with one another, but naturally balance each other. One making up for where the other is lacking, to bring that life to where it grows and forms natural bonds to the Love of God.

Women were created, as Pope Francis has recently stated: “the most beautiful thing God has made”. And he added: “Theology cannot be done without this feminine touch.”.

I agree. It does not mean that women are weak or less “persons” as it also does not mean that Men are superior. We are equal with different roles. The push of the secular idea of “feminism” has pushed the false notion of the Catholic Church as being some sort of “Women Haters Club”, when the very fact of the matter is, it is anything but that and holds women in a seriously high regard much more so then the secular world could ever understand.

We have come to this place in history where women have been taught far to long, just to be rough & tough. There is nothing wrong with rough & tough, but for some reason, we have lost the “nurturing” role in society and the balance is off. The Feminist Nazi “Amazon Women” have taken over. The “I can do everything without a man, woman” has been born from years of the Culture of Death, pounding in our heads, you don’t need nothing but you. Chanting the death march “Go get um”, trampling everything in our path, standing in OUR way. Including our own gift of children, through Abortion, Birth Control, because “What I Want”, has become much more important than what IS natural and important. Our NATURE as Women, is nurturer. Conquering through love. Not of self, but of others, so in turn, they learn how to love. To say we can do everything is wrong. Society failing today is living proof, we can’t do it all alone. We as women, have failed in the role of Mother and Father. The Catholic Church is not a social experiment. Nor is there room to hold one. It is what it is.

There are just some things women were not designed to “lift”. As “the most beautiful thing created”, we must find comfort in Men, doing the “Heavy” lifting, and carry our crosses, together, in love, for Love.

  • Its My Fault Too

    June 29th, 2014

    keys

Today at Holy Mass, The Feast of St. Peter and St. Paul, I was blessed to hear, one of the greatest Homily’s I have ever heard. I must share it. I had to write this to my Priest.

“Best Homily EVER Father Jacob! Although I don’t place the blame completely on you or any Catholic Priest fully. I take blame also as a parent. It’s good to know All Catholic Priests have “Catholic Parents Backs”, while we ALL carry the cross of RESPONSIBILITY of parenting and are Teaching our Children the Catholic Faith, to love God above all else. God bless our Priests.”

Please listen here: Don’t Forget Your Keys

In all honesty, I have been waiting for someone to say these words, and live by them for many years. Waiting for someone to help me back up the “Teaching” that is essential for my children, that we must place God above all else in our lives, no matter what we may think our goals may be. When we do place God above everything, all that was never meant to be in our lives, all the chaos and insecurity and false ideas, fall like dominoes and we can see the path of Life much clearly.

God bless our Priests and may we all come to understand what is crucial in our lives, living in this Secular Society, but separated from it, through our love of God above our love of all else.

    “Seek and ye shall find”

With the grace of God, I found what I have been looking for.

  • Garabandal Apparitions

    June 19th, 2014

    fire

I need to share this as I don’t know anything about this subject, but I can tell you with my entire heart, this IS what happened to me.

Garabandal apparitions – “Besides the two “messages”, the visionaries forecast a “warning”, a “miracle” and a “punishment” (if people do not correct their ways). The warning is described as a momentary stopping of time around the world, with all people then seeing the spiritual condition of their souls, and how they should amend their ways.”

This is what our Lord has allowed me and continues to allow me to see.. I have been living in a perpetual state of knowing I have seen this before, as it was all told to me, since 1997. See my post REPENT REPENT REPENT.

I’m not afraid to speak about it, nor tell the events or story. I have nothing to hide. I fear only our Lord. Test me. Question me. Put me through the wringer. I have nothing to hide nor embellish.

    Glory to God.
